We were surprised that Apple's iSync does not ship with built in support for the Nokia 2730 Classic phone.
So, what to do?

After looking at Paul Bains contribution to the world that is Nokia/Apple, we decided to created a basic contact/calendar sync plugin for iSync and the 2730 Classic. This will help solve the sinking feeling you may have experienced after receiving a carton of phones and no way of getting numbers on to them...

We have built a package installer for the plugin so all you have to do is download and install the .pkg.
It only syncs via bluetooth, which was the minimum specification we required for our phones.

Note: Only tested on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Instructions

  1. Download the installer 2730-v1.pkg.zip
  2. Double click the installer and follow instructions
  3. Launch iSync (make sure you have paired with your 2730 Classic - or iSync will ask you to...)
  4. Select phone and sync.
  5. Happy syncing

Our Tests

We have followed these instructions using OS X 10.6.2 and report no errors on phone or iSync.
Earlier versions of OS X are not known to work with this plugin - let us know if you have any success with 10.5 or earlier.

Note: We don't offer a warranty of any kind and require you back up your data before using the 2730 Classic plugin made by Webhaven. We have used the plugin to successfully sync contacts/calendar with Address Book and iCalendar.
